Padded Cloak

Quilted and padded cloak; cheap protection that doubles as a warm travelling garment.

A cloak of quilted and padded cloth, layered and stitched through so that it turns a glancing edge as well as the weather. Padding is the cheapest protection there is, which is why a levy turns out in it, and it is warm enough that a padded cloak sees far more use on the road than on the field.
