Grapes

Fresh grapes, plump and juicy in season, are gathered into baskets and sold at market. Dried into raisins, they become a sweet winter stores, traveling far in merchants’ wagons and soldiers’ packs. The dried fruit needs no special preservation and adds sweetness to otherwise spare meals.
