Hay

Sun-dried grasses bundled tight after the summer cut, hay feeds horses and livestock through winter at every stable and farm. A bushel is bulky but light enough for a cart, and a single load sustains a team of beasts for weeks. Moldy hay is worthless and rots quickly if left damp.
