Holy Symbol, silver

The sign of a god worked in silver by a jeweller, an ounce and a half of it, chased and finished to be seen at a distance across a hall. This is not the pilgrim’s token but the badge of someone who speaks for the temple: an ordained cleric, a lay officer of standing, or a wealthy patron who has endowed something worth remembering. Silver is kept bright as a matter of observance, and a tarnished symbol on a cleric is read as a statement about the cleric.
