Homespun, per sq yard

Unregulated flax cloth of linen weight, woven at the manor and sold by the cloth.

A flax cloth much like linen in weight, but woven outside the guilds — at the manor, or by rural households for their own use. It weighs about 6 ounces the square yard. A homespun cloth is not a broadcloth: it runs about 1.5 yards by 12, some 18 square yards, and is had for 48d at the manor.
