Rabbit is lean, pale meat from warren-bred or wild-snared animals, favored by hunters and cottagers. The small carcass yields little meat but cooks quickly in a pot with turnips and herbs. Smoked rabbit is prized on campaigns; jerked rabbit strips are chewed like leather, tough but nourishing. The fur is scraped and sold separately to furriers for lining cloaks.
