An unfulled cloth of about the weight of serge but made from finer threads, more of them to the inch, and of better wool. It takes a good variety of colours though rarely strong ones, and is almost exclusively made in towns by guildsmen. It weighs about 12 ounces the square yard. A standard broadcloth is 2 yards by 24, or 48 square yards, so a whole cloth costs 576d.
