A dense piled cloth, silk-faced and heavy, worn at court and hung in halls. It is among the dearest cloth to be had short of silk itself. It weighs about 24 ounces the square yard. A standard cloth is 2 yards by 24, or 48 square yards, so a whole cloth costs 1680d.
