A bullet of cast lead, almond-shaped or biconical, molded by the slinger himself from a small iron ladle over a campfire and a split-stone mold. Far denser than a river stone, a lead bullet flies farther, strikes harder, and punches through gambesons and light helms at the limit of range. Veteran slingers and mercenary light troops carry a pouch of them for work where cast stones will not suffice.
