Overview
Fate represents a character’s luck, destiny, or divine favor. Characters can spend Fate points to influence dice rolls, avoid death, or gain other benefits. Fate is a limited resource that refreshes under specific circumstances.

Fate Points
Each character has a number of Fate points determined by their attributes. Fate points can be:
- Spent to improve a test result or avoid a catastrophic outcome
- Earned through gameplay milestones or GM awards
- Refreshed at the start of certain time periods
Using Fate
Fate Tests
A Fate test is a special roll that determines whether fate intervenes on the character’s behalf. Fate tests are typically triggered automatically when a character faces a life-threatening situation.
