• The indefinite-impairment penalty a test suffers because it depends on a body part that is impaired but still usable (#568): the worst (most negative) −5 (minor) / −10 (serious) penalty across the roles the governing skill/attribute lists in its impairedByRoles.

This is the numeric counterpart to testAutoCriticallyFails: a role made unusable by a grievous injury forces an automatic Critical Failure and contributes no number here (unusable roles are excluded from rolePenalties), so the two are mutually exclusive per role. A test with no impaired-by roles, or an actor with no impaired parts, suffers no penalty.

    Parameters

    • impairedByRoles: undefined | readonly string[]

The body-part roles the test depends on.

    • rolePenalties: ReadonlyMap<string, number>

Each impaired-but-usable role mapped to its penalty (a non-positive number).

    Returns number

The worst penalty among the test's impaired roles (≤ 0; 0 when none).
